What is
RMUN?

Get to know us this year at RMUN '23

In RMUN, you will learn how to debate and solve global issues in your council while representing a particular nation, just like the real UN. This is an unforgettable bonding and learning experience for young brilliant minds, as well as a thrilling way to express yourself. We intend to improve our MUN this year to make it even more memorable than prior RMUNs, and we hope to see you there!

Our message

From our respected SG and DSG to our future applicants

Our world is currently in a tumultuous, uncertain state. With protests erupting worldwide, international tensions rising, and many struggling to pursue prosperous lives, it’s difficult to allocate adequate attention and empathy to everything occurring in the world. This can often backfire, leading many to be cynical and uninformed about the state of their fellow people, as the comfort of ignorance overshadows the awkwardness of growth and change. This state of mind can, however, be altered through empathy-based education on a limited number of issues, allowing one to be reintroduced to activism. This is the goal of RMUN: to educate the youth of Bahrain about pressing socio-economic issues, and allow them the space to discuss solutions to these problems while maintaining understanding and respect for those affected by these crises.

The theme “All for one, and one for all” is one of solidarity. Many conflicts worldwide revolve around the oppression of one group, and their liberation often cannot be achieved through their sole resistance. They require other unaffected groups, effectively bystanders, to battle alongside them for their liberation, as resistance and liberation are collective efforts. Ultimately, though, those who stand up for others are simply individuals who find that their sense of justice overrides their fear of speaking out against cruelty and inhumanity. They are singular humans looking to bring equality to all.

The RMUN team is thrilled to welcome you all to its 2023 conference that they have worked passionately to curate to perfection, with the comfort of all members in mind. Finally, we, the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General of RMUN’23, hope that those who attend will depart with a more thorough and empathetic understanding of worldwide issues, and what it means to be global citizens. After all, education and solidarity are keys to a prosperous future.

Sincerely,

Safiya Ebrahim, Secretary General of RMUN’23.

Zain Dhaif, Deputy Secretary General of RMUN’23.
